Announcement: Mandatory Foreign Language (5ı) Course Proficiency (Exemption) Exam for Students Admitted via Amnesty or Additional Placement (2026–2027 Academic Year)

Dear Students,

For our students who registered at our university through Additional Placement in the 2026–2027 Academic Year or returned to education under the Amnesty Law, and who applied for the Mandatory Foreign Language (5ı) Course Proficiency (Exemption) Exam within the scope of Law No. 2547, the exam will be held on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2026, at 15:00.

Please pay attention to the following points:

• List of Eligible Candidates: The list of students taking the exam is attached. Students whose status appears as "ELIGIBLE (AMNESTY / ADDITIONAL PLACEMENT)" on the list may take the exam. Students specified as "INELIGIBLE" will not be admitted to the exam.

• Exam Locations:

  • Faculty Students (Faculty of Communication, Ömer Seyfettin Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Medicine): Main Campus – New Rectorate Building – School of Foreign Languages (YDYO) Floor (1st Floor), Classroom MA1-203.

  • Vocational School (MYO) Students (Bandırma, Erdek, and Manyas Vocational Schools): Will take the exam at their respective campuses and units. Please contact your units for classroom details.

• Exemption Condition: Pursuant to Article 5 of the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Foreign Language Education, Teaching, and Examination Regulation, students who score at least 60 on the exam are exempt from mandatory foreign language courses. The score received is converted into a letter grade according to the Absolute Evaluation System table and applies to both semesters.

• Important Note for Exempt Students: Exempt students cannot enroll in these exempted courses in subsequent semesters and cannot request to invalidate their exemption scores.

• Exam Day Requirements: All students taking the exam must be present in the classroom 15 minutes before the start of the exam with a pencil, eraser, and an ID card or student certificate obtained via e-Devlet. Students arriving after the first 15 minutes of the exam will not be admitted.

• Device Policy: Mobile phones and smart devices must be turned off and placed on the instructor's desk before the exam begins.
