School of Foreign Languages Held the End-of-Term Academic Board Meeting

The School of Foreign Languages held the last Academic Board meeting of the 2025–2026 Academic Year to evaluate the 2025–2026 Fall and Spring semesters and to plan for the upcoming academic year. Chaired by our Director, Lecturer Türkan Yılmaz, and attended by the faculty members, the meeting featured a comprehensive evaluation of the 2025–2026 Academic Year.

It was stated that the majority of the goals set at the beginning of the year within the scope of educational processes—such as the synchronization of course flows, as well as the alignment of course content with student needs and program objectives—were successfully achieved. Furthermore, the meeting highlighted the year-round efforts regarding measurement and evaluation processes, the assessment of Reading-Writing courses, curriculum development and improvement efforts, and material and textbook evaluations. Under the agenda item of education and instruction, plans were also made concerning the course contents and materials for Vocational and Compulsory Foreign Language Courses. It was noted that the objectives regarding these specified matters were met.

Within the scope of quality assurance and accreditation procedures, it was expressed that guided by student feedback and satisfaction surveys, improvement works were successfully integrated into the process. Additionally, commission activities, social responsibility projects involving our students, and various cultural-social events carried out throughout the year were evaluated.

In addition to the general review of the 2025–2026 Academic Year, the academic board also discussed its plans for the 2026–2027 Academic Year. Feedback was gathered from our faculty members, quality and accreditation processes were evaluated, and recommendations were received for the next academic year.

We would like to thank all our faculty members working within the School of Foreign Languages for their hard work and dedicated efforts throughout the year.
