Seminar: “Inquiry-Based Teaching and How to Use It”

As part of the In-Service Training Program organized by the Professional Development Unit of the School of Foreign Languages, a seminar titled “Inquiry-Based Teaching and How to Use It” was held for our academic staff on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

The program began with opening remarks by the Director of the School, Lecturer Türkan Yılmaz, and featured Lecturer Melike Ekiz, Vice Director of , School of Foreign Languages at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, as a guest speaker. The presentation focused on the inquiry-based language education approach—which centers on students' curiosity, critical thinking, and active research skills—and covered the practical integration of this approach into lesson plans and classroom activities.

After the sharing of theoretical information and a Q&A session with the participants, School Director Lecturer Türkan Yılmaz presented Lecturer Melike Ekiz with a certificate of appreciation for her valuable contributions and presentation.
