INFORMATION REGARDING THE APPLICATION FOR THE COMPULSORY FOREIGN LANGUAGE (ENGLISH) COURSE ACCORDING TO ARTICLE 5/ı PROFICIENCY (EXEMPTION) EXAM APPLIED WITHIN THE SCOPE OF LAW NO. 2547 FOR THE 2026-2027 ACADEMIC YEAR (SEPTEMBER 24, 2026)

This announcement is an exam application notice for students who wish to be exempt from the Foreign Language I and Foreign Language II courses included in the curricula of all departments and programs. ONLY STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE UNIVERSITY IN THE 2026-2027 ACADEMIC YEAR MAY TAKE THIS EXAM.

The 2026-2027 Academic Year Compulsory Foreign Language (English) Article 5/ı Proficiency Exam will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM for Vocational School (MYO) students, and at 2:00 PM for Faculty students.

*Students who score 60 and above on the exam will be considered exempt from the Compulsory Foreign Language Courses (5/ı) and will not take the respective course.

Note: Students of English Translation and Interpreting, Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering (30% English), and Economics (English) departments do not take this exam.
