Our School Participates in "FOAI-16: Assessing Grammar & Vocabulary - A Practical Training Workshop"

The 16th Forum on Assessment Issues, hosted by the Trabzon University School of Foreign Languages, took place in Trabzon on April 10–11, 2026. Focusing on issues and challenges in foreign language assessment, the workshop was attended by lecturers serving at the schools of foreign languages of various universities across Türkiye. Our School was represented at the event by our Vice Director, Lecturer Dr. Burcu Karadaş.

The forum commenced with a session by Oxford University Press representative Ebru Abanoz, who introduced the Oxford Test of English, and continued with an educational presentation titled "Fundamentals of Assessment" by Asst. Prof. Dr. Esin Çağlayan from Izmir University of Economics. Through practical training sessions led by Lecturer Dr. Şükran Saygı from Middle East Technical University and Lecturer Pinar Gündüz from Sabancı University, participants conducted examinations and analyses on assessment tools used in foreign language education. By bringing together educators teaching foreign languages at different universities, the workshop provided an invaluable opportunity for instructors to exchange knowledge and ideas on assessment tools.
