Our School of Foreign Languages at the "OUP English Language Teaching Management Oxford 2gether Higher Education" Conference

The Director of the School of Foreign Languages at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Instructor Türkan YILMAZ, attended the educational conference titled “ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING MANAGEMENT OXFORD 2GETHER HIGHER EDUCATION,” organized by Oxford University Press (OUP) at Çeşme Swissôtel between May 15-17, 2026. During the three-day event, strategies to enhance the quality of English language education programs on a global scale and the educational technologies of the future were thoroughly discussed.

In the main sessions of the conference, Ben KNIGHT, Head of Language Content and Pedagogy at OUP, shared curriculum design and assessment-evaluation strategies, while Dr. Ümit YAKAR presented the integration of artificial intelligence-supported micro-teaching content into language learning processes through practical examples. Concurrently, data-driven feedback mechanisms under the leadership of Zeynep Ürkün, institutional development culture under the guidance of Andrew BOSSON, and quality assurance standards in language programs managed by Mehtap ÇİÇEN were comprehensively addressed during the parallel workshops. Throughout the event, innovative practices, digital transformation processes, and student-centered teaching approaches regarding the future of foreign language education in higher education were shared with the participants.

The event aims to contribute to the educational-instructional processes and quality development initiatives of our school.
